  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

  • Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and eggs, mixing well.
  • Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Stir until just combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Spread into Pan: Pour the cookie dough into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool and Cut: Allow the bars to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Once completely cool, cut into squares and serve.
